You’ll partner cross-functionally with manufacturing operations and sales teams, delivering thoughtful solutions to complex challenges all while developing your knowledge of the medical device industry. Whether your work includes strategic inventory planning, labeling, warehouse management, material handling, or any of our other supply chain opportunities, you will be making a meaningful contribution to our team and to patients all over the world.
The Associate Buyer, Indirect Sourcing will be responsible for supporting the indirect purchasing needs of the Edwards Draper Campus.
How you'll make an impact:
Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers by assisting in analyzing pricing and department needs and formulating recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement.
Review purchase requisitions and quotes; evaluate and negotiate specified terms on behalf of internal customers with suppliers.
Research and identify alternative sources to develop a summary of total cost of ownership.
Ensure purchase orders and related terms and conditions are in compliance with Edwards business requirements.
Monitor supplier programs to ensure global pricing and possible rebates.
Provide guidance to users for the requisition to purchase order (PO) process in source-to-pay system (e.g., Coupa).

What you'll need (Required):
Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 1 year of previous related experience

APCIS certification
Lean Six Sigma certification
Purchasing experience
Strong organizational skills
Experience working in a regulated industry
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
Experience working with source-to-pay or related systems (e.g., Coupa)
Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
Problem-solving, strategy-driven and critical thinking skills required.
Good knowledge and understanding of industry best practices relevant to contract or bid management
Solid understanding of contract terms and conditions
Strict attention to detail.
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and partner with internal stakeholders beyond the Draper facility.
Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
