Assistent Controller

The Business Unit Food Processing and Packaging offers leading processing technology for the poultry, meat, fish, vegetarian and meat-replacement markets. Our portfolio contains - either stand-alone or complete automated lines, which can be integrated with freezing and packaging solutions.
Within our Division Food & Health Technologies we are looking for an Assistant Controller. The location for this position will be our machine manufacturing plant Bakel in the Netherlands which is part of the Business Unit Food Processing and Packaging. This role will be reporting to the Senior Director of Finance Bakel.

Responsibilities / Tasks

In the role of Assistant Controller, you are the support of the Financial Controllers within the Finance team which consists of 10 people. You have the opportunity to progress to the role of Financial Controller within one year.

Tasks:

• Intermediary between Financial Controllers and the Accounting Service function.

• Month end closing processes.

• Procure to Pay process with focus on invoice processing and related approval flows (via Seeburger) and related payment processes.

• Expense management with focus on expense management processing and related approval flows (via Concur) as well as credit card management.

• Master Data management processes with focus on customers, vendors, employees, general ledger and cost centers.

• Customer order invoicing management including guarantee management.

• Cost base management.

• FTE reporting including alignment with HR and Business.

• First speaking partner for our external service provider processing and payment of invoices and processing travel expenses.

• Responsible for improvement projects related to the external service provider.

• Develop and prepare dash boards and monthly management info reporting packages.

• Ad hoc financial analysis and other controlling activities.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance (minimum HBO).

• Some years of experience in a comparable function and business environment.

• High motivation combined with a result and quality driven ambition.

• Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools.

• Strong analytical working and thinking ability.

• Good communicative skills and team player

• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing.
