JOB PURPOSE

•Support the roll-out of project-wide Quality Strategy, and monitor and report on results.

•Manage the implementation and monitoring of quality management system as per Aldar practices and corresponding frameworks.

•Ensure adherence of projects to the established quality assurance and quality control methods

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Develop and manage implementation of ALADR Quality Management System (QMS) across all ALDAR projects to manage the implementation of Quality standards to ensure consistent delivery of projects as per Aldar quality standards

•Implement effective Quality monitoring program through regular site inspections on construction sites and material and storage facilities and raise observations across all projects to mitigate and control the quality issues

•Inspect project level deliverables from a Quality scope on a periodic basis and raise variances to the Executive Director – Quality.

•Conduct site visits on Aldar projects, assess the contractor’s delivery from a quality aspect, document variances and improvement areas, raise inspection findings to Executive Director – Quality, related PD and ED Project Management for action.

•Inspect action plan implementation to ensure adherence to the quality inspection findings report.

•Review contractor’s work and compliance with Aldar standards during construction, participate in the handover process to ensure minimum level of quality issues are closed prior to handover to customers.

•Perform reporting, risk assessments and auditing and observes all Quality related activities within active projects.

•Advise management on defining Quality Policies, plans and objectives, as per Aldar quality requirements

•Conduct gap analysis on compliance obligations pertaining to project quality

•Issue lesson learnt and proactive Quality alert including awareness training for continual improving of the quality standards

•Develop mock-ups of the flats and apartments together with Design as benchmarks for projects and ensure that they are in line with the requirements, specification and drawings

•Co-ordinate and participate in the Quality training programmes for related stakeholders.

•Gather and analyze customer complaints and derive actions to avoid same causes for customer complaints

•Prepare and submit monthly Quality Dashboard Report to Management along with snagging reports

•Ensure the QMS compliance for the assigned portfolio – audit programme, stage gates and conformity reporting.

•Raise and close non-conformances; lead root-cause analysis and verify corrective actions.

•Deploy the quality strategy pillars – Process, People and Technology & Data – in the portfolio.

•Maintain quality dashboards and trend analysis; lead associate quality staff and external inspectors.

RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE
• Min of 8+ years of experience in quality management with large developer or a consulting/contracting firm.

SECTOR EXPERIENCE
Quality management, project and program delivery in the development industry

TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
• Excellent conflict negotiation skills required to resolve quality breaches;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities required for managing project quality compliance across multiple projects;
• Fluent in both Arabic and English, other languages desirable;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of quality data systems, dashboards and trend reporting;
• Audit, root-cause and corrective-action methods (e.g. ISO 9001);

QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor degree in engineering

• Construction management or quality management or professional qualifications

• Related quality certification and affiliation.

Skills Required

Minimum 8 years of experience in quality management with a large developer, consulting firm, or contracting firm
Sector experience in quality management and project or program delivery within the development industry
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Background in construction management, quality management, or relevant professional qualifications
Relevant quality certification and professional affiliation
Fluency in Arabic and English
Working knowledge of quality data systems, dashboards, and trend reporting
Knowledge of auditing, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action methods, such as ISO 9001
Excellent conflict negotiation, communication, and multitasking skills
Additional language proficiency
