Purpose of the Job:Supports the Department Head in leading Global Markets Operations. Provides strategic and operational oversight, strengthens governance and stakeholder outcomes, ensures regulatory compliance and operational resilience, and acts as deputy when required.Job Highlights:Strategic
  • Sets team priorities and aligns resources with service standards, business targets, and Front Office Markets' objectives.
  • Oversees end-to-end operations, risk management, regulatory compliance, and adherence to policies and controls.
  • Partners with the Department Head to implement systems, processes, policies, and control enhancements.
  • Leads automation, streamlining, and cost optimization to improve efficiency, controls, and stakeholder outcomes.
Financial
  • Minimizes losses, errors, settlement failures, compliance breaches, and audit findings through effective controls.
  • Delivers measurable productivity, capacity, and FTE benefits through standardization, optimization, and automation.
Customer
  • Leads engagement with Front Office, internal partners, clients, counterparties, and service providers to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversees service delivery, escalations, issue resolution, and reporting across Treasury products.
  • Strengthens stakeholder relationships while balancing service, risk, and regulatory requirements.
Other/ Control
  • Oversees Treasury Operations for Derivatives, Bonds, Money Market, FX, confirmations, settlements, payments, accounting interfaces, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensures transactions, records, reports, and critical documents comply with bank, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Leads risk and control governance, issue remediation, audit actions, and escalation of material matters.
  • Applies expertise in Treasury Accounting, regulatory reporting, MORFXT, and local payment platforms to guide decisions and resolve complex issues.
  • Acts as deputy to the Department Head and provides leadership continuity, staff supervision, and development.
Key Requirements
  • Four-year degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; relevant professional qualifications are an advantage.
  • At least 7-10 years of relevant Treasury or Global Markets Operations experience, with strong product knowledge and demonstrated supervisory or leadership responsibility.
  • Extensive Treasury Operations knowledge across Derivatives, Bonds, Money Market, FX, confirmations, and settlements.
  • Strong knowledge of Treasury Accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, risk, compliance, controls, and audit governance.
  • Proficiency in MORFXT, local payment platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deputize for the Department Head and ensure leadership continuity.

Skills Required
