Your role:
- You will be responsible for measurement, and test equipment development in a product development laboratory environment.
- Assist project engineers in develop and trouble shooting a broad range of custom developed assembly and test equipment.
- Collaborate with product development project teams to improve test methods, recommend, and implement improvements to test equipment.
- Create calibration and maintenance procedures and work instruction and perform scheduled calibration and preventive maintenance to automated and semi automated test equipment (custom developed and off-the-shelf).
- Follow all regulations, safety guidelines, and equipment operating/maintenance procedures to meet specific requirements. Embrace a teamwork philosophy and work cross functionally with Systems Engineering, Product Development, Function Development, Embedded Systems Engineering, and Product Quality.
- Contact and collaborate with equipment manufacturers and suppliers as needed. Assist with installation and qualification of new equipment and testers.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, consumables, and tools necessary to support installed equipment.
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience in the field of test and verification within product development is preferred.
- Hands on experience with pneumatic actuators and systems, sensors, measurement systems, and vision systems.
- LabVIEW, Matlab or Python programming experience a plus.
- Ability to work in a global R&D innovation environment and collaborate with test equipment partners in Europe and US.
- Willingness to travel occasionally in support of new equipment development projects or for equipment training.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
