Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking an Assistant to join the Talent Development team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and highly organized. Previous law firm experience is preferred but not required. This position reports to the Manager, Talent Development Programs in Dallas, Texas. The Assistant can be located in Dallas, Houston or Austin, Texas and presence in the office may be required from time to time pursuant to the firm’s hybrid work policy. Overtime and some travel may be required to facilitate training and attend events.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with the Business Services and Lateral Lawyer onboarding and integration efforts, including coordinating meetings, compiling schedules and collateral, coordinating virtual trainings, and communicating with new hires, firm team members and lawyers involved in the onboarding and integration process.
Assist with Talent Development training program logistics including date vetting, administering SharePoint sites, booking conference rooms and hotel rooms, partnering with A/V team members for program setup and recordings, coordinating catering orders, facilitating on-site events, preparing presentation materials, drafting and issuing correspondence and tracking attendance at various programs.
Maintain recorded programs and materials in Learning Management System (LMS).
Maintain inventory of Talent Development program materials.
Compile post-program evaluations and reports.
Serve as a liaison for Talent Development’s expense and invoice processing and help manage the department’s budget.
Monitor departmental email inbox and forward requests/questions to appropriate team member(s).
Support the Talent Development team with other administrative tasks, as requested.

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of work experience in a professional setting.
In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 5 years of professional work experience, preferably at a law firm or other professional services environment.
Attention to detail, accuracy, responsiveness and excellent organizational skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to be effective in both a group and one-on-one setting.
Demonstrated experience with event planning or coordination preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Maintain professionalism, personal integrity and high degree of confidentiality.
Demonstrated technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Knowledge of LMS and LinkedIn Learning preferred.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Sense of pride in work, willingness to take responsibility and committed to working as a member of the team.
Ability to effectively manage assignments and prioritize tasks from multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrate excellent client service skills, serving both internal and external clients.
Ability to exhibit conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline and a sense of responsibility.
Confident interacting with all levels of the organization, both legal and administrative.
