What you get to do:

As an Aquatics Assistant Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervising a shift of water safety Ambassadors. You will establish and maintain a positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of ambassador performance and guest service while enforcing and complying with safety procedures and guidelines. You will also:

  • Provide exemplary Service and ensure Operations Standards are met

  • Complete Ambassador audits.

  • Assign Ambassador break and rotation schedules, ensure compliance of Child Labor Laws with regards to breaks, lunches and hours worked per day

  • Assist Operations supervisor with the training and counseling of Ambassadors and Senior Guards

  • Supervise Ambassadors and Senior Guards for maximum productivity while enforcing and complying with safety procedures, guidelines and park policies and procedures

  • Comply with the area opening and closing procedures and ensure all Ambassadors complete tasks within a timely manner

  • Monitor and track Ambassador attendance, performance, and complete appropriate paperwork and administer discipline

  • Successfully pass the company provided and paid American Red Cross lifeguard certification trainings to include First Aid, CPR, and AED.

  • Maintain an acceptable level of proficiency of park knowledge, water rescue, CPR/AED, and First Aid Skills.

  • Ability to assist with pre and post season setup and breakdown on a limited basis. This involves both administrative and outside work

  • Flexibility to perform varied duties 

What else is important:

  • At least 18 years of age, preferred

  • At least two (2) months of Ambassador experience or equivalent external experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent,  preferred

  • Must be able to act responsibly with a high attention to safety 

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs 

  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift

  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing) 

  • Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals 

  • Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards 

  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat  

  • Must provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement

  • Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations 

  • Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelines
