THE JOB:
As the Assistant Stewarding Manager, you will oversee the stewarding operations for Mandalay Bay’s renowned restaurants, ensuring all kitchens and equipment meet the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. Your role combines hands-on leadership, effective team management, and attention to detail to ensure the back-of-house operations run seamlessly. You’ll manage a team responsible for deep cleaning kitchen areas, maintaining equipment, and supporting the culinary team’s success. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in kitchen operations.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Supervise and lead a team of stewards, ensuring daily cleaning and organizational tasks are completed efficiently.
- Oversee the deep cleaning of kitchens, equipment, and workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Inspect all kitchen areas and equipment regularly to ensure cleanliness, proper maintenance, and functionality.
- Manage administrative duties, including inventory management, and supply ordering.
- Collaborate with restaurant leadership and culinary teams to address equipment needs, maintain stock levels, and ensure smooth operations.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Has at least 2 years of prior relevant stewarding experience.
