About the role

The Assistant Spa Manager will support the Spa Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Spa Department and supervise all staff of fitness club & spa to ensure all day-to-day standards and procedures are adhered to and delivered at the highest level.

What you will do

  • Assist the Spa Manager with the over-all supervision of Spa Therapists, Spa Attendants and Spa Receptionists, Fitness Instructors, Lifeguards and Recreation Attendant .
  • Conduct and manage the training of the Spa and Recreation Staff in accordance to the standards. 
  • Maintain operating criteria/spa concepts and be responsible for the coordination and scheduling of all Spa, Fitness and Recreation related services in relation to assistance with policies, philosophy and objectives for the Spa with the guidance of the Spa Manager.
  • Manage the staff schedule and complete payroll records in accordance with budgeted guidelines with the guidance of the Spa Manager.
  • Interact with Spa guests, Members providing full knowledge and assistance for maximum guest usage in a friendly but unobtrusive manner with all guests.

What you bring

  • Previous leadership experience in a spa setting
  • Must be able to communicate professionally in English both verbally and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn other proprietary computer applications.
  • Comfort in training staff as well as coaching and counseling when necessary.
  • Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening shifts
