Role Summary

The Assistant Sales Manager for Tyre Expo is responsible for achieving and exceeding sales revenue targets. This role plays a critical part in expanding the local exhibitor base in Thailand, driving rebooking efforts for Tyre Expo Singapore, and supporting Subcon Thailand's local sales initiatives. The Assistant Sales Manager will manage customer relationships, provide exceptional customer service, and oversee account management for both existing and prospective exhibitors. Key responsibilities include handling customer inquiries, providing pricing information and quotations, explaining exhibition offerings, addressing customer questions, and negotiating pricing to secure sales. 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Sales

  • Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets, with a growth target year-over-year for Tyre Expo.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive booth and sponsorship sales, including non-sqm revenue sources.
  • Expand the local exhibitor base in Thailand to support long-term growth and market penetration.
  • Drive rebooking efforts for Tyre Expo Singapore during odd years to ensure customer retention and revenue stability.
  • Support Subcon Thailand's local sales activities and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain regular contact and build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers.
  • Identify and target new prospects to expand the customer base, including attending and visiting competitor shows for market intelligence.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and provide effective troubleshooting solutions.

Database Management (Salesforce)

  • Update and maintain the Salesforce database on a weekly basis.
  • Create and input new customer profiles to build a comprehensive database for future outreach and show invitations.
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage sales reports, pipeline revenue tracking, and forecasting.

Marketing Coordination

  • Collaborate with the marketing team and customers to gather product information and images for exhibitor and visitor promotional materials.
  • Support local marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and exhibitor engagement in the Thai market.

Accounting Coordination

  • Work closely with the accounting team to monitor and update payment statuses, including overdue payments.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up on outstanding receivables.

Operations Coordination

  • Liaise with the operations team to ensure exhibitors receive timely updates on booth layouts, raw space plans, exhibitor manuals, and PR product highlights.
  • Coordinate with local and association partners to support event execution and exhibitor satisfaction.

IT Coordination

  • Verify and correct visitor databases to ensure completeness before sending show materials and invitations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience with at least 4 years of proven sales/tele-sales experience.
  • Confident, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, sales-driven, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Passionate about sales and dedicated to achieving personal sales targets.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English and Thai (spoken and written), with the ability to proofread sales materials, brochures, and promotional content.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
