WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function for Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, and monitoring overall P2P team and daily operational workflow (payment reviews and first step approvals, invoice/tax/bank related issues, team management – responsibilities, bottlenecks in daily routine, annual leaves, e.g.)
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, resolving disputes and account-related issues.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and support monthly and yearly financial closing activities.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as Payment on Time, Purchase Order Compliance, and No-PO-No-Pay adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with Unilever’s policies, internal controls, and accounting standards to minimize risk and prevent errors or fraud.
  • Collaborate with audit teams by providing relevant documentation and explanations during internal and external audits.
  • Providing information and suggestions/business partnering to related stakeholders on P2P related issues.
  • Providing guidance on the contracts for payment related cases,
  • Identify and lead initiatives to optimize accounts payable processes, including automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Supervise and mentor accounts payable team members, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Manage T&E process and guide team to further improvise.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of finance experience, with strong exposure to accounts payable processes and controls.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, especially SAP.
  • Experience in managing cross-border financial operations and intercompany transactions.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team with a collaborative and responsible mindset.
  • Fluency in English and Turkish.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. (CPA certification is a plus.)
