Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to support the project management and design management team for a successful delivery of the project
What You'll Be Doing;
Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Support feasibility studies and risk assessments by gathering data and preparing analyses.
Help define project deliverables and milestones and maintain tracking tools.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to support the development of project designs.
Assist in reviewing design documents and drawings and coordinate comments and revisions.
Help verify that designs meet regulatory requirements and client specifications.
Support the day-to-day coordination of activities on project sites.
Monitor project progress and performance against project plans and prepare status updates.
Assist in ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures.
Support the Project Manager and senior team members in guiding project coordinators, engineers, and contractors.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
Help identify and assist in resolving issues and conflicts that arise during project execution.
Support the maintenance of strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Assist in preparing regular reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Help address client requests and follow up to support client satisfaction.
Assist in monitoring project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
Support resource allocation activities and tracking of staff and materials.
Help identify potential financial and delivery risks and support mitigation actions.
What Required Skills You'll Bring;
Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Typically 8–12 years of experience in project management or construction/project delivery, preferably on large-scale infrastructure or airport developments, including experience in a supporting or deputy role.
Experience working on multi-phase project delivery with complex interdependencies.
Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams across design, supervision, and construction.
Strong organizational, coordination, and planning skills.
Good understanding of project delivery methodologies.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Experience contributing to early works or phased infrastructure programs is an advantage.
Familiarity with local authority and regulatory environments.
Experience supporting transitions between planning and execution phases.
Background in client-side project management, design management, or PMC oversight is an advantage.
