The Assistant Project Manager – Scheduling supports project teams with scheduling, coordination, reporting, and project controls for utility-scale solar, BESS, and electrical construction projects. This role will help maintain project schedules, track milestones, identify delays, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors, and field teams.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with development and maintenance of detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
- Update schedules based on project progress and field reports.
- Track critical path activities, milestones, and schedule performance.
- Identify potential delays and assist with developing recovery plans.
- Coordinate schedule updates with Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports and project status updates.
- Track engineering, procurement, permitting, equipment deliveries, and construction activities.
- Maintain project documentation and scheduling records.
- Assist with project meetings, action items, and follow-up.
- Support change management, forecasting, and project controls activities.
- Perform other project management duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in construction, project management, scheduling, or project controls.
- Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable scheduling software preferred.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Construction, utility, solar, BESS, electrical, or EPC experience preferred.
