Our team is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Colorado! You will provide support to senior staff during all phases of a project or program such as pre-design, procurement, construction and post construction of Schools and Hospitals. Responsibilities include cost management, schedule management, quality control and document control.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting the work of project managers and senior project managers in planning, budgeting, scheduling and contract administration in owner’s representative assignments.
- Project coordination, field work, and quality control during the construction or abatement phases of projects.
- Written correspondence and record keeping for projects assigned.
- Client communications for progress reporting, project coordination and contract administration.
- Keeping abreast of technology and state-of-the-art procedures in the construction and environmental industries.
- Reporting to project managers for project issues and problem solving.
- Budget tracking, Invoice review.
- Functions as project manager on small projects, working independently but under the guidance or mentoring of a Senior Project Manager. Refer also to the job description for Project Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (civil) or construction management or equivalent degree.
- 1-2 years of K-12 or Healthcare related construction experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer skills.
- Proficient in reading and understanding contract documents, plans and specifications.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project or Primavera.
- Ability to work independently to achieve client goals.
