Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Controls Specialist will provide general project setup, planning, scheduling, cost billings, reporting, and monitoring for engineering projects and programs.
The local office for this position is in New York, NY in the heart of Times Square with approximately 100 employees. We serve a variety of markets and employ engineers in the civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, industrial, and fire protection disciplines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Assist project setup in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Run reports and input data into ERP.
- Assist in the development of various levels of schedules.
- Assist with reviewing and distributing existing reports along with back-up documentation.
- Assist existing project controls and project managers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Contract Support
- Work with project leads for project setup.
- Data entry of funding modifications and value.
- Assist with project billings and associated back-up documentation.
Administrative Support
- Assisting with clerical functions as needed.
- Planning meetings and taking detailed minutes.
- Other administrative support to managers, other employees, and office visitors by handling a variety of tasks to ensure that all interactions between the organization and others are positive and productive.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Associates of Arts (AA) Degree in Business, Finance or other similar business trade or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding of the contract lifecycle preferred not required.
- Should have good experience with MS Excel.
- Must be proficient in other MS Office products, Acrobat, e-mail applications.
- Experience in using Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Defense Security Service, Federal Government Agencies, and other State and Local Authorities.

Location: New York, NY (Times Square Office)
Compensation:
The expected base salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and qualifications.
