Job Description

As an Assistant Programme Manager, you’ll be the friendly face that makes the mornings & afternoons unforgettable for children. You’ll be working a minimum of 10 hours per week, rostered across Monday to Friday

  • Morning/ Before school shifts runs between 7am - 8.30am.
  • Afternoon/ After School shifts runs between 2.30pm–6.00pm. Availability from 2.30pm is essential, though finish times may vary.
  • Potential school holiday programmes hours available (between 7am - 6pm).

Here’s what you’ll be up to 

  • Be the superstar running our sKids programmes day-to-day – from set-up to smooth operations – while building awesome relationships with our school communities 
  • Supervise and join Tamariki in awesome activities like arts & crafts, sports, games, offsite adventures (swimming, walks, picnics, movies), baking, drama, and music 
  • Lead safe, fun, and engaging sessions that keep kids buzzing while making sure everything runs smoothly 
  • Be the friendly, go-to face for parents and schools, keeping communication warm and positive 
  • Guide, support, and inspire your team to shine and bring their best every day 
  • Arrive early to prep activities, co-ordinate Programme Assistants, and set up resources for a smooth start

Qualifications

We’d love to hear from you if you: 

  • Have the right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship) 
  • Can get to our Glenfield site with reliable transportation and/or a vehicle
  • Bring your enthusiasm and leadership for working with kids – whether through coaching, teaching, mentoring, or running activities, you know how to inspire and guide Tamariki 
  • Have proven experience leading or organising before & after school programmes (or similar children’s services) is a big plus – we’re looking for someone who can manage operations, people, and create awesome experiences for kids 
  • Are over the age of 20 years old, in order to comply with Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004.

Skills Required
