Assistant Program Manager

WCMHS Sunrise Wellness Center is seeking a full-time Assistant Program Manager who is or is willing to become a Certified Peer Specialist, to work in a dynamic environment. This individual will work with individuals and groups within Sunrise Wellness Center, the community and people served homes. The focus of the Assistant Program Manager will be guiding and supporting individuals on their journeys of recovery, program development, and supervision of staff

Summary of Duties 

  • Develop and implement programs at the Sunrise Wellness Center working collaboratively with individuals on their personal journeys
  • Must be a certified Peer Specialist or willing to become a certified Peer Specialist
  • Lead groups which include but are not limited to activities of daily living, emotional and physical resilience, community connections and workforce development
  • Provide support to individuals who struggle with homelessness, symptom management and substance use
  • Must be able to complete and stay up to date on all required documentation
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with gardening and chicken care
  • Must be able to drive agency vehicles with multiple passengers

Compensation and Benefits

WCMHS provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and a generous retirement contribution match. Our industry-leading paid time off package includes 12.5 flexible holidays per year and 12 days each vacation and paid sick time earned in your first year of employment.

The pay range for this position is $28.67 - $30.13 per hour.

Qualifications

Summary of Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be an individual with lived experience in the areas of mental health symptoms and or substance abuse
  • Uphold the ethics of Peer Specialists and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact respectfully and collaboratively with clients, staff and the community
  • Understand and hold in positive regard individuals who struggle with mental illness, addiction, developmental and intellectual disorders, LGBTQI+ community and diverse backgrounds and ethnicities
  • Willingness to learn and practice effective crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
  • Ability and willingness to prepare for, respond to and adapt to change and to work in a dynamic environment
  • The ability to deliver services and complete treatment notes in English

Workplace Conditions
Work takes place in a school and community settings. Frequent transportation of clients in one's own vehicle. This role requires some lifting up to 50lbs and ability to apply restraints to clients within agency training and guidance.
