Job Description
Performs investigative research in the particular area(s) of study and publishes and presents data in a timely manner. Works collaboratively with other investigators and scientists in facilitating scientific research. Participates in various types of institute and community activities.
Job Responsibility
- Provides strategic advice and guidance to the Faculty Research function. Conducts independent research and/or development work.
- Applies for grant funding and/or patents as appropriate.
- Responsible for the collection and analysis of research data.
- Submits manuscripts and abstracts for publication/presentation.
- Performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, correspondence, attending meetings, database maintenance, maintaining records, charts, etc.
- Responsible for all other activities, clinical and administrative, as appropriate.
- Supervises research staff; provides technical direction to research staff.
- Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
Job Qualification
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Science required. Faculty appointment by the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research Appointments and Promotions Committee, required.
- 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
