Position Description:

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Louisville welcomes applications for a one year  non-tenure track teaching position at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 1, 2026. The position is renewable depending on performance and staffing requirements.

Minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • A Ph.D. degree or its equivalent in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.

  • Experience teaching at the college level is required.

  • Experience with online classes, active learning classrooms, teacher preparation courses, and adaptive learning software is highly preferred.

Job responsibilities will include teaching both online and in person. Classes will include large lectures at the general education level, courses for prospective elementary and middle grades teachers, and occasional evening courses. Regular participation in departmental service activities and meetings is expected.
