Summary:

This position will work with the Production Planner/Scheduler and is responsible for carrying out critical functions within the planning team to ensure work is scheduled, prepared, and completed in alignment with customer expectations. You will use various computer programs to execute the work order workflow. You will also be expected to review and update relevant departmental SOPs, participate in Rapid Improvement Events and work with cross-functional teams to ensure that needs are met for customers both internal and external.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the with scheduling production work via the Shop Schedule and SPF Calendar
• Optimize production schedule to balance customer prioritization, cell capacity/capability, material availability and lot sizes to maximize on-time delivery
• Collaborate and communicate with all departments at KZValve to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. 
• Run MRP Process
• Create, close and print work orders
• Confirm product information, quantities, orders and other relevant information
• Complete inventory transfers
• Adjust pick sheet settings
• Operate within various computer programs:
  • Microsoft Office Products
  • SAGE100 (ERP)
  • Production Interface
  • SmartSheet
  • Data Tool
• Review and update SOPs as needed
• Assist Planner/Scheduler with other tasks as needed
• Maintain a working knowledge of assembly work cells and processes
• Spend time working in assembly, on occasion, depending on workload
• Adhere to company PPE rules including but not limited to safety glasses, and safety toe footwear
• Participate in Rapid Improvement Events

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent preferred
• Basic math, computer, and typing skills to work within various computer systems

• Problem solving in a small team environment with a willingness to tackle challenges 

• Strong written and oral communication skills 

• Strong initiative and an eagerness to learn 

• Exceptional time management
• Ability to use hand tools
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to read and understand assembly drawings

Preferred:

• Experience within manufacturing operations and planning
• Experience working within ERP systems
• Previous participation in Rapid Improvement Events (RIE’s)

Position Details:

• Full-Time, Monday through Friday, non-exempt position.
• Preferred core hours 7:00am – 3:30pm (with 30-minute unpaid lunch)
  • Occasional overtime as needed
• Position reports to the Production Manager
