Assistant Operator I

Position: Assistant Extrusion Line Operator
Location: Hanover, PA
Pay Range: $21.69 ($0.45 shift differential)
Shift: Night Shift, 7PM-7AM, rotating schedule

While reporting to the Production Manager as the Assistant Operator, you will be responsible for safe and effective operation of Spin Welding units. The position would also be responsible for assisting the Line Operator and monitor the operation of extruder and printer as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Starts and operates Spin Welding machines. Makes adjustments as necessary to ensure proper operation and ensure product complies with quality specifications.
• Inspects welded cartridges to insure adequate weld, proper flashing trim-off, and removal of dust by vacuum system.
• Performs repair and part replacement work on Spin welders, ACO’s, Scrapers and Conveyors/Elevators.
• Conscientiously observes all safety precautions concerning operation of machines.

• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work 12 hr. days.
• Basic mechanical aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot and make equipment mechanical adjustments / repairs as necessary.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Ability to relate well to others and maintain effective working relationships
• 2 to 3 years' operating manufacturing machinery
• Ability to work well with others in a sometimes-stressful environment.
