As an Assistant Operations Manager, you'll work closely with the Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our Delaware branch. You'll help coordinate crews, equipment, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with a high level of customer service. This is a hands-on role that combines operational planning, team coordination, quality control, and field support.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate daily scheduling, dispatching, and resource allocation for crews and equipment
  • Communicate with customers, employees, contractors, and warehouse teams to keep projects running smoothly
  • Review work orders, timesheets, and operational records for accuracy
  • Conduct quality control and safety audits and support corrective actions when needed
  • Help maintain fleet compliance, equipment readiness, and driver qualifications
  • Support warehouse, field, and driving operations as business needs require
  • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and excellent customer service

 

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in operations, logistics, transportation, warehousing, moving, or a related industry
  • Dispatching or scheduling experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in both office and field environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook
  • Current DOT Medical Card holder or willingness to obtain one
  • Forklift and reach truck certification, or willingness to obtain certification
  • Willingness to travel and provide occasional after-hours support
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
