Job Description

Assistant In Nursing roles required for dynamic Rehab and Medical wards at Baringa Private Hospital. Undergraduate Nursing students from year 2 onwards have the opportunity to work alongside the dynamic and passionate nursing team - get paid to support your clinical learning and development, undertaking bedside nursing care at Ramsay Health Care. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for Undergraduate nursing students to work within the healthcare sector, gaining valuable clinical skills and knowledge to compliment your current undergraduate studies. Learn from the best, while providing great bedside support to our clinical team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
  • Support nursing staff with routine clinical tasks and patient observations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive ward environment
  • Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility
  • Accurately document care and communicate changes in patient condition

 

About You: 

  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or be currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd year Registered Nursing student
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate care to patients with complex medical needs
  • Commitment to maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster
