Job Description:

Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions. Demonstrating critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations. Fostering a culture of psychological safety, where team members feel supported, valued, and empowered to speak up, share concerns, and contribute meaningfully. Promotes evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning. Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels. Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness. Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care. Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance. Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care. Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Thorough understanding of hospital policies, procedures and legal aspects of acute care nursing [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]
• Basic computer skills, including experience with an Electronic Health Record [Required]
• Five or more years of current clinical experience [Preferred]
• Cerner documentation [Preferred]
Education:
• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
Field of Study:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• In Nursing
Work Experience:
• 5+ current clinical [Preferred]
• 5+ hospital experience [Preferred]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
