Job Description
The Assistant Marketing Manager will support the end-to-end execution of Japan marketing activities, including product launches, e-commerce operations, KOL programs, PR coordination, and marketing asset localization.
This role offers the opportunity to support and collaborate with the Marketing Manager across various marketing initiatives, while developing broader skills in digital, e-commerce, and product marketing.
The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience supporting marketing operations in a fast-paced environment.
A key part of the role is managing data, preparing drafts for creative/content tasks, coordinating with internal and external partners, and ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day marketing workflows.
Specific Responsibilities:
- 1. Marketing Operations & Project Coordination
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels.
- Maintain campaign schedules, coordinate meetings, and manage follow-ups with internal teams and external agencies.
- Prepare essential documents such as briefs, summaries, meeting minutes, progress trackers, and To-Do lists.
- 2. Product Marketing Support
- Assist with PDP (Product Detail Page) preparation including:
- specification collection,
- feature summaries,
- copying existing global assets,
- preparing draft copy for review.
- Gather and organize product information, competitor data, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional tasks with global/APAC teams by preparing draft emails, summaries, and translation support.
- 3. Data & Inventory / SKU Management
- Update and maintain SKU lists, NPI reports, inventory trackers, and sample allocation documents.
- Perform basic Excel-based data management (FILTER, VLOOKUP, etc.) and prepare cleaned data for the Marketing Manager.
- Monitor sample stock levels and prepare logistics instructions in coordination with warehouses and agencies.
- 4. KOL / Influencer & PR Support
- Prepare longlists and profiles for potential KOLs.
- Track influencer postings, organize asset folders, and manage seeding lists.
- Coordinate with PR agencies on sample requests, media lists, and scheduling.
- Support reporting by collecting screenshots, links, and performance summaries.
- 5. E-commerce Support
- Assist with content localization for partner e-commerce sites.
- Prepare asset lists, update information spreadsheets, and track pages requiring updates.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely content delivery.
- 6. Creative & POSM Support
- Gather assets (images, spec sheets, product information) from internal platforms (SharePoint, Bynder, Teams).
- Prepare initial drafts of POSM text, social copy, and product feature descriptions for review.
- Support the creation of merchandising materials by coordinating information between design teams and agencies.
- Ensure accuracy of product names, feature lists, and brand terminology.
- 7. Localization & Translation (Draft Creation)
- Prepare first-draft translations for:
- English ↔ Japanese
- Ensure alignment with brand tone, keeping consistency in terminology and formatting.
- Compile version histories of documents and support quality checks.
- 8. Administrative & Vendor Coordination
- Manage internal document versions, file naming, and folder organization.
- Coordinate with external vendors to collect quotes, track schedules, and request required information.
- Support contract/admin workflows by preparing summaries and draft responses for review.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in marketing support, e-commerce operations, PR coordination, or administrative roles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce.
- Business-level Japanese; reading comprehension of English required.
- Experience with Excel/Google Sheets (functions such as VLOOKUP, FILTER, MATCH preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in document handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
