KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Lifecycle Management
End-to-end management of blue-collar and casual employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, internal movements (transfers/promotions), and exits.
Administration of employment contracts drafting new contracts and updating existing ones ensuring compliance with SLAs.
Coordination and issuance of employee-related letters (ex :probation confirmations, service letters, employment confirmation, and salary confirmations for banks).
HR Systems & Data Management
Ownership of all Workday transactions for blue-collar employees across Horana and Agarapathana factory sites.
Generation and provision of blue-collar data through Workday reporting for business decision-making.
Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personal files for all blue-collar employees.
Facilitate Red Carpet initiatives including kiosk issue resolution with IT, employee data updates.
Coordination of ID card issuance (including lost/damaged cases with police clearance).
Custodian of HR policies, SOPs, and legal documentation to ensure compliance.
Ensure digital notice boards are consistently updated and operational.
Payroll & Time Management Support
Timely submission of all blue-collar payroll-related data including hires, exits, promotions, cost center changes and allowances prior to payroll cut-off.
Accurate data input and coordination with Time and Attendance System (TAS) and Payroll teams.
Management of EPF & ETF documentation and resolution of related issues.
Stakeholder & Site Support
Act as the single point of contact for blue-collar employee communications.
Provide ongoing support to Horana factory stakeholders and address operational HR queries.
Lead and support disciplinary processes including drafting inquiry documents and show-cause letters in collaboration with HRBP.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate should be a graduate or possess a relevant equivalent professional qualification.
2-3 years of experience working in a factory environment handling workforce operations (experience in managing unionised groups will be an added advantage).
Proficiency in Sinhala (speaking, reading & writing).
Candidate should be self-confident and assertive.
Candidate should have excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
