ING Wholesale Banking in Singapore

Overall Function:
The incumbent is expected to provide end-to-end transactional support along with Doc checking and related services to trade finance clients. As such, the incumbent is expected to possess good knowledge of trade finance products, trade workflows and processes.
This function is in Trade Finance Operations Department located in Singapore.
Key responsibilities:
- Process documentary trade transactions typically letter of credits (LCs), documentary collections (DA/DP), standby LCs and related financing requests, ensure the processing &service quality and timelines meet client expectations and within the agreed SLAs.
- Act as the point of contact for clients for trade transaction-related processing and services, coordinate with front office, middle office as and when required to resolve transaction related issues and inquiries.
- Perform 1st and 2nd check (if applicable) of both Import and Export L/C documents.
- Provide professional advice to the customers & internal teams on discrepancy/ies noted on the documents; fulfilling of terms and conditions in the L/C, and mitigating non-compliance documents presentation after shipment.
- Liaison with processing hub teams to ensure all transactions are timely booked and processing quality assured.
- Embrace digital solutions & e-Channels in Trade Finance Domain, participate in front-to-back trade system enhancement projects, and act as functional expert to ensure E2Eoperational excellence.
- Ensure adherence to ING’s procedures, policy and guidelines at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Acceptable tertiary education.
- CDCS certified preferred.
- At least 5 - 7 years’ of experience in handling trade finance transactions.
- Microsoft office applications.
- Knowledge of Swift Alliance and any main trade finance system.
- Knowledge of ICC publications – UCP600, ISBP 821, ISP98, URR725, URC522.
- Possess effective communication & teamwork skills.
