Job Description

Get to know the team:
The Strategy & Ops team is responsible for overseeing and growing the Singapore Mobility business (JustGrab, GrabCar, GrabCar Premium etc.). This includes formulating and executing on strategy around demand (passengers), supply (driver-partners), pricing & marketplace, while also undertaking product rollouts and special projects.

More specifically, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual possessing strong problem solving and analytical skills to join the team. Projects managed by the team often involve creative problem-solving, analysis using large data sets and deriving insights to formulate high-impact solutions.

Get to know the Role:

  • Utilize both strategic and analytics toolkits to deliver data-driven business insights and recommendations to senior leaders to act upon (e.g. customer segmentation, demand / supply strategy/initiatives, pricing, marketplace optimization)
  • Plan and structure analysis of marketplace issues (e.g. demand, supply, pricing) to optimize for business objectives (e.g. revenue / profit growth, service health)
  • Lead high-impact special projects end-to-end involving skills such as problem structuring, analysis, project management, communication & stakeholder management
  • Work in a team to solve business-critical issues through rigorous analysis, big picture thinking with consideration for operational detail
  • Oversee execution on initiatives with meticulous attention to cross-functional requirements including operations, marketing / communications, driver-partner relations, regulatory compliance etc.
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple functionalities including Product, Regional strategy, Partner Operations and Marketing to execute on high-impact initiatives

Qualifications

The Must-Haves:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Economics / Statistics / Business / Information Science / Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant working experience - for example, Consulting, Strategy, Analytics, Business Intelligence roles (especially in tech companies)
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis; vivid storytelling skills with Powerpoint
  • Strong business acumen - ability to articulate complex analyses and translate these to actionable business insights
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Basic proficiency in SQL (Python is a bonus)
  • Problem solving & can do attitude - Willing to learn quickly and understand the root cause of problems; able to work with a multidisciplinary team to propose creative solutions
  • Attention to detail
  • High adaptability to change; able to pivot quickly from long-term thinking to immediate action tactical response
