Position Summary
The International Procurement Center (IPC) in Bangkok is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager, Sourcing Executive to join our sourcing team. This role is responsible for identifying and developing competitive electronics component suppliers for Samsung’s global product categories, including Mobile, TV, Home Appliances and other electronics products.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the supplier landscape and will play a critical role in bridging communication between S.E.A. IPC Regional Office, Headquarters, and local partners. Fluency in Korean, Thai, and English is essential.
Role and Responsibilities
· Source and develop competitive suppliers of electronic components to support Samsung product lines
· Drive cost competitiveness and ensure sourcing cost efficiency
· Organize sourcing fairs, conduct supplier meetings, and maintain the supplier database
· Identify and introduce innovative technologies and suppliers to enhance product development
· Conduct supplier capability assessments and plant audits
· Monitor and analyse market trends, supplier activity, and economic factors impacting sourcing strategy
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HQ and product development teams, to align sourcing strategies
· Regularly travel domestically and internationally to support supplier engagement, audits, and procurement activities
Skills and Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience, preferably in a multinational company or within the electronics industry
· In-depth knowledge of electronic component suppliers and the sourcing market in Southeast Asia area
· Technical understanding of consumer electronics products and components
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SAP
· Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in diverse, cross-cultural, and cross-functional teams
· Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
· Fluent in Korean, Thai, and English (spoken and written)
