About your team
The Global Mandate Services (GMS) team supports the implementation and change management of segregated mandates and sub-advisory mandates across institutional clients globally. This includes onboarding new clients, managing client-led or regulatory change, internal strategic initiatives, and enhancing operational delivery frameworks. The team plays a critical role in supporting discretionary portfolio management and advisory services and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Investment Management, Asset Management Operations, Client Services, and third-party providers.
About your role
As part of the Global Mandate Implementation team, you will be responsible for institutional and wholesale sub-advisory mandate (collectively “institutional”), onboarding of new Institutional clients and custody relationships, together with market opening for new and existing investment markets. The role will have a key responsibility for delivery and quality assurance across the scope of activity.
The successful candidate will act as a key partner to the GMS Client Onboarding teams to help drive delivery of client mandate overall, and effectively manage the risks across the implementation. The role will also require interactions with the range of internal partner functions and various client appointed custodians that are critical to support the implementation activity.
The focus will be on our client across Europe and APAC. The role will be based in Taipei.
About you
The Successful candidate will take accountability to manage the client and internal lead change activity, as well as act as key escalation point for complex change and query resolution
- Ownership of institutional onboarding projects and co-ordinate activities across client service operations and investment management operations teams to successfully deliver the launch within the agreed target date.
- Engage with custodians, vendors, and platform providers to provide clear, concise project communication both written and verbal to relevant stakeholders, as well as ensure readiness ahead of go-live dates.
- Analyse and communicate the operational impact of new mandate proposals.
- Maintain project plans during the implementation process of a new launch.
- Ensure robust management for all implementations, with a strong focus on risk mitigation, control processes, and quality assurance.
- Lead and assist on any Institutional business change requirements.
- Establish a strong working relationship with members of all stakeholder groups impacted by your projects.
- Handle the market opening on new and existing mandates and the asset transition of each launch.
- Oversee and drive improvements to operating models, including risk controls and reporting.
- Work closely with GMS Onboarders and Client Relationship Managers to capture and fulfil client expectations.
- Oversee and coordinate cash posting processes for new fund accounts, ensuring accurate and timely allocation of funds across client accounts, while identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage and instruct asset load activities, monitoring data integrity and liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth settlement and reconciliation of assets.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience in any of: Client Relationship Management (CRM) or exposure to investment instruments and associated operational functions such as investment management operations; asset servicing; trade operations; fund accounting.
- Experience of product development or Client onboarding and change management for institutional clients is advantageous.
- Experience with Investment Management Agreements (IMAs) and client guideline documentation is also advantageous.

Desirable Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience managing operational change in a global investment management context.
- Use of project tools and systems (e.g., InvestOne, workflow trackers, ChatGPT, Co-Pilot) desirable.
