As an Assistant Vice President in Fund Accounting, you will work with complex fund structures and alternative asset classes such as real estate, private equity, and private debt investment vehicles. You will manage the accounting books and reporting timelines for a portfolio of clients while acting as a key point of coordination with clients and auditors.
In this role, you will:- Manage accounting books and reporting schedules for an assigned portfolio of clients.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing, reconciliation, and documentation of all fund transactions.
- Review and validate NAV calculations and financial statements.
- Support and guide junior team members in preparing accounts and other deliverables.
- Coordinate regularly with clients, auditors, and internal teams to meet deadlines and maintain high service standards.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the financial services or alternative investment industry.
- Strong knowledge of alternative fund structures and asset classes (real estate, private equity, private debt).
- Solid accounting expertise related to Private Equity, Real Estate, Private Debt Funds, Holding Companies, SPVs, etc.
- Additional qualifications such as CFA (Quartic training) or ACCA (considered an asset).
- Experience with consolidation (an advantage).
