Job Description
Onboarding:
During client onboarding, fund accounting assistant managers undertake several crucial tasks to ensure a smooth transition and establish a productive relationship with the new client. Here are some key responsibilities:
- Client Information Gathering: Fund accounting assistant managers collect essential details Client Interview: Assistant Managers conduct interviews with clients to gain deeper insights into their expectations, preferences, and communication styles. These conversations allow for better alignment between the client’s objectives and the accounting services provided.
- Setting Up Systems and Processes: Assistant Managers will ensure that the set up of the new client within Investran/Demasy/Paxus is done properly either by the GCD (shared services center) or his/her team. Drives and reviews client data migration and set-up.
Oversight
During Net Asset Value (NAV) oversight, fund accounting assistant managers play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth operations. Let's delve into their key responsibilities:
- Monitoring NAV Production Process
- Quality Control and Approva
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Process Optimization and Efficiency
- GCD (shared services center) Monitoring

Management
- Team Performance
- Serve as a subject matter expert of the team.
- Train and guide more junior members of the team.
- Second in command to the manager and serve as the back up at the manager’s absence.
- Support in overall management of the team.

Client Relationship Management
- Assistant Managers interact directly with clients, addressing queries related to NAVs and providing timely information.
- Effective communication and relationship-building contribute to successful NAV oversight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or finance
- ACCA is a great asset
- Strong Lux GAAP, IFRS/Conso experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role of assistant manager/ supervisor in funds services mainly in Private Equity and Real Estate services
- Languages: English – German and/or French is an advantage
