We’re entering an exciting new phase of growth, and we’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This newly created position will play a key role in strengthening our financial operations by taking ownership of a number of critical daily and month-end activities—freeing up senior team members to focus on strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile core sub-ledgers and associated general ledger accounts.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journal posting and early investigation of variances.
- Own and deliver key balance sheet reconciliations to an audit-ready standard.
- Perform timely, accurate bank and corporate credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and project work.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes.
- Support the team with purchase invoice processing and purchase order administration.
About You
Essential Requirements
- Qualifications: Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA). Exceptional QBE candidates with strong manufacturing experience will also be considered.
- Experience: Demonstrable finance experience within a manufacturing, production, or inventory-focused environment; ideal for a second-time mover.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting best practice and inventory valuation.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, journals, and detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
- Advanced MS Excel capabilities (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIFs).
- Personal Attributes:
- High accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to understand the story behind the numbers.
- Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with non-finance teams such as Operations and Production.
- A "roll up your sleeves" attitude and willingness to support a growing business wherever needed.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Exposure to global supply chain environments, such as international sourcing or multi-currency transactions.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity supporting purchase order processes.
