We’re entering an exciting new phase of growth, and we’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This newly created position will play a key role in strengthening our financial operations by taking ownership of a number of critical daily and month-end activities—freeing up senior team members to focus on strategic initiatives.

If you’re hands-on, detail-driven, and looking to grow within a dynamic, forward-thinking manufacturing business, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile core sub-ledgers and associated general ledger accounts.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journal posting and early investigation of variances.
  • Own and deliver key balance sheet reconciliations to an audit-ready standard.
  • Perform timely, accurate bank and corporate credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and project work.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes.
  • Support the team with purchase invoice processing and purchase order administration.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Qualifications: Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA). Exceptional QBE candidates with strong manufacturing experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: Demonstrable finance experience within a manufacturing, production, or inventory-focused environment; ideal for a second-time mover.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of accounting best practice and inventory valuation.
    • Hands-on experience with month-end close, journals, and detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Advanced MS Excel capabilities (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIFs).
  • Personal Attributes:
    • High accuracy and strong attention to detail.
    • Curious, proactive, and eager to understand the story behind the numbers.
    • Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with non-finance teams such as Operations and Production.
    • A "roll up your sleeves" attitude and willingness to support a growing business wherever needed.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Exposure to global supply chain environments, such as international sourcing or multi-currency transactions.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity supporting purchase order processes.
