Job DescriptionThe role of Assistant Management Accountant within the Telematics business unit is really important to us. You will report to the Financial Controller and work closely with the Accounting & Financial Control team to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supporting the production of financial reporting packs and commentary for review by senior finance colleagues.
- Helping to compare actual performance to budgets and forecasts, preparing variance analysis where required.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Assisting with year-end processes, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Working with the team to improve processes and controls, identifying opportunities for efficiency.
- Providing ad hoc analysis and support to the Financial Controller.
- Collaborating with central teams (Group, Tax, Compliance) as needed.
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or actively studying towards qualification.
- Previous experience in a finance role (e.g., accounts assistant or similar) desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large data sets.
- Organised and able to manage workload and deadlines.
- Good communicator and team player.
- Experience in a multi-entity organisation is an advantage but not essential.
