Job Description

The role of Assistant Management Accountant within the Telematics business unit is really important to us. You will report to the Financial Controller and work closely with the Accounting & Financial Control team to support accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Supporting the production of financial reporting packs and commentary for review by senior finance colleagues.
  • Helping to compare actual performance to budgets and forecasts, preparing variance analysis where required.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Assisting with year-end processes, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Working with the team to improve processes and controls, identifying opportunities for efficiency.
  • Providing ad hoc analysis and support to the Financial Controller.
  • Collaborating with central teams (Group, Tax, Compliance) as needed.

Qualifications

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or actively studying towards qualification.
  • Previous experience in a finance role (e.g., accounts assistant or similar) desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Organised and able to manage workload and deadlines.
  • Good communicator and team player.
  • Experience in a multi-entity organisation is an advantage but not essential.
