Wage Range: $60,000 – $70,000/year (commensurate with experience)

In this role, you’ll support the Location Manager in daily operations and work closely with Greenwich Public Schools to ensure safe, reliable transportation for local students.

Ensure home-to-school routes are fully staffed and run efficiently for Greenwich Public Schools.
Interface daily with drivers regarding performance, concerns, and scheduling.
Investigate and help resolve client complaints, working closely with school officials and parents.
Monitor and help achieve on-time performance and service goals.
Lead safety efforts, conduct safety meetings, and make regular safety contacts with drivers.
Support the Location Manager in union matters, including grievance resolution, if applicable.
Ensure dispatch staff schedules drivers and buses to cover all routes and trips.
Assist with auditing, invoicing, budgeting, and compliance reporting.
Build positive relationships with school officials, the community, and the First Student team.
Participate in staff hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development.
Enforce company, state, and federal policies and maintain safety and environmental standards.
Other duties as assigned to support location operations.
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in transportation or operations, preferably in student transportation.
2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance processes a plus.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced team setting.
Flexibility to work extended hours, including some weekends as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
