The Legal Recruiting (LR) Assistant provides key administrative, operational, and logistical support to the Legal Recruiting team and Hiring Partner. This role supports the firm's efforts to attract, recruit, and hire highly qualified law students and experienced attorneys and helps ensure an efficient and positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
What You Will Do:
Maintain recruiting databases and systems, including candidate data entry, reporting, interview tracking, evaluations and record management for lateral and summer associate candidates.
Assist with all aspects of lateral recruiting and law student recruiting, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, file management, expense processing, and onboarding support.
Assist in planning and executing recruiting programs and law school recruiting events, including logistics, attorney participation, hiring committee coordination, and post-offer engagement.
Support the Summer Associate Program through event planning, communications, training logistics, evaluations, and other program initiatives.
Prepare interview schedules, coordinate candidate visits, greet candidates, collect feedback, and compile evaluation summaries.
Draft offer and declination letters.
Process recruiting-related expenses, manage departmental materials and supplies, and assist with other administrative duties as needed.
Partner with internal departments to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new attorneys and summer associates.
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm or law school career services setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), recruiting databases, and leveraging AI tools responsibly.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional, responsive, and collegial demeanor.
Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential information.
Self-starter with strong initiative; able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
