Purpose of Role

As Assistant HRBP, you’ll support HR operations across Belgium and the Netherlands.  This role plays a key role in delivering HR support to the business and ensuring HR delivery is fully aligned to business goals in their area of business, with a focus on employee experience, performance management, culture and more. You’ll work closely with the Benelux HR Lead, line managers, and central HR teams to deliver day-to-day HR support and help drive key people initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant HR Business Partner ensures the execution of HR activities being aligned with global direction and strategy.  

HR Operations: Support recruitment, onboarding, contract management, and HR system updates (Workday).

Employee Relations: Assist with case handling, absence management, and compliance with Belgian and Dutch labor laws.

Performance & Development: Coordinate performance reviews, learning plans, and talent processes.

Data & Reporting: Maintain HR data, analyze trends, and support decision-making with insights.

Stakeholder Support: Act as first point of contact for employees and managers, providing support across HR topics.

Project Support: Contribute to HR projects such as engagement, well-being, and organizational changes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Experience in HR, ideally with some experience in Belgium and/or Netherlands
  • Working knowledge of Belgian and Dutch labor law and HR practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, building strong relationships with trust & confidence.
  • Good knowledge of key HR processes, roles and responsibilities  
  • Comfortable with HR systems (Workday, PowerBI, UniPulse etc) and managing, analysing HR data and building insights and a point of view from that data 
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (French is a plus).
  • Hands-on, proactive mindset with attention to detail, eager to learn and share new ideas
  • Willing to travel between Brussels & Amsterdam as needed
