Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter’s 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel’s 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building’s legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan – a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.
We are on the hunt for a hospitality personality — someone who walks into a room and immediately makes it warmer. As our Assistant Front Office Manager, you'll be the calm at the center of the storm: keeping the front desk humming, the team inspired, and every guest feeling like the most important person in the building. If non-stop energizes you, solutions excite you, and people genuinely make your day, this role was written for you.
Role of Assistant Front Office Manager:
- Welcome every guest with warmth, sincerity, and the kind of personalized attention that turns a check-in into a memorable moment.
- Supervise the daily rhythm of Front Office operations — check-in and check-out procedures, room assignments, and everything in between.
- Ensure the team arrives to each shift fully briefed, energized, and ready to deliver exceptional service from the first guest to the last.
- Anticipate guest needs before they're voiced — crafting personal, thoughtful solutions and memorable experiences along the way.
- Be the connector: communicate seamlessly with the Front Office Manager, Concierge, and all departments to keep the guest journey smooth.
- Serve as a trusted go-to resource for guests seeking local knowledge — from hidden gems to the nearest spa, you'll know Riggs' Washington DC inside and out.
- Step up as a leader on shift, supporting your team through busy periods with composure, humor, and a genuine can-do spirit.
