SS&C Technologies seek an Assistant Financial Accountant. This role will report to the Head of Accounting and undertake general ledger accounting and analysis activities across multiple legal entities. This role is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave.

Your Responsibilities 

• Month end accruals & prepayments
• Assist with fixed assets accounting, including additions and disposals
• Analysing large volumes of transactions for variance and trend reporting
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and control accounts, and resolution of outstanding variances 
• Uploading balance sheet account reconciliations into the Cadency SOX tool in accordance with monthly deadlines 
• Liaise with colleagues to address miscoding’s or other issues identified, to improve underlying processing  
• Assisting with PWC audit queries 
• To communicate and promote the values which reinforce and support a consistent quality culture.

Your Experience

• Experience and confidence using Excel including pivot tables
• Strong general accounting knowledge - double entry, accruals, fixed assets
• Experience of analysing large volumes of data
• Experience of balance sheet account reconciliation, and control
• Previous experience of using Workday GL is preferable
• AAT, ACCA, CIMA or Degree qualifications desirable but not essential for this position.
