The Assistant Executive Director plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community, and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Executive Director in providing information and direction to all staff, while maintaining consistent standards throughout every building.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare management, preferably in a senior living community and an active Assisted Living Manager license for the state of AZ. 

This position offers salary between $50,000-$70,000, based on experience in addition to benefit options such as medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k with company match, flexible scheduling, generous paid time off, same day pay (through RAIN instant pay), referral bonuses, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, professional development, along with so much more!

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide an environment for residents that foster positive customer outcomes.
  • Assist with planning, organizing and implementing services, programs and activities, in accordance with all current rules and regulations that apply to Assisted Living Facilities.
  • Participate in the development, maintenance and updating of policies and procedures, job descriptions, in-services and resident care forms for the community.
  • Provide direction and supervision to all staff and support them as needed.
  • Provide written and oral reports to the Regional Director regarding facility performance.
  • Property inspections which include walking through communities and grounds with results documented in a written report.
  • Enhance employee and resident relations with the goal of improving survey scores in each area.
  • Assist with vendor issues to ensure quality and the best pricing for all communities.
  • Assist in preparation for state surveys and follow up of surveys working closely with the Regional Director for this area.
  • Attend and participate in continuing education programs designed for and related to this position.
  • Liaison with Regional staff to ensure company compliance at all levels.
  • Represent the facility and its' mission to the residents and staff of the communities and always adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Assist with crisis management in the event of an emergency in one of the communities.
  • Review and resolve all grievances and complaints made by the residents.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Critical Skills

  • Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
  • Deal tactfully with personnel, prospects, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
  • Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility.
  • Communicate effectively in a manner that is sufficient for supervisors, team members, prospects, residents, and families.
  • Knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience

  • Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years' experience in health care management.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered Assisted Living Manager/Executive Director's license or meet the licensure requirements of this State.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position does have direct reports and supervisory requirements.

Pay Range

$50,000-$70,000

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare management
  • Active, unencumbered Assisted Living Manager or Executive Director license for Arizona, or ability to meet state licensure requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Meet all applicable state and federal requirements for the position
  • Ability to supervise staff and manage direct reports
