SUMMARY: The Assistant Education Coordinator will plan, coordinate and execute educational programs for school groups visiting The Hall of Fame. Programs focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) as well as literacy and marketing content. The Assistant will act as a key support for the Education Coordinator and will provide back-up coverage for Guest Services as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare materials and supplies for use in education modules.
- Facilitate engaging STEM education modules.
- Differentiate instruction for a highly variable student audience in terms of grade or ability level, developmental stage and cultural background.
- Manage student/chaperone behavior tactfully.
- Assist with planning and logistics of visits, including but not limited to answering phone calls, greeting school groups upon arrival/departure, escorting school groups to classroom location, taking group photos, emailing press release, and confirming visit details before visit.
- Partner with teachers to support student needs.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree.
- Classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Experience working with youth and coordinating group events.
- Experience in training and managing a plus.
- Knowledge of databases, Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Strong verbal, communication and presentation skills.
- Organized, detail oriented.
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative.
- Exercise sound judgment while maintaining professional poise, calmness, and positive attitude.
- Excellent time management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
