The Assistant Director of Student Experience develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive, well-balanced calendar of programs that enhance students' educational experiences.  The Assistant Director of Student Experience advises the Campus Activities Board (the programming arm of the Office of Student Engagement) and supervises the CAB Eboard members. This position also oversees the Student Engagement clubs and organizations on campus, providing structure and processes for student success and development. 

Key Outcomes

20 % of Time:  Campus Activities Board

  • Advises the Campus Activities Board and regularly attends meetings and events.

  • Support the planning, implementation, and assessment of CAB Events, emphasizing experiential learning for students.

  • 3-5 Monthly CAB events (mix of homegrown low-cost events, partnerships with offices, local travel, and leveraging existing events on campus, with various contracted acts on campus such as concerts, comedians, diversity & equity programming, and off-campus trips from the local area and beyond.

  • Along with the Director, plan and implement the annual Spring Concert featuring a high-profile act, with students' assistance and approval by the Endicott Administration.

  • Attends the regional NACA conference annually with CAB Eboard Students annually

  • Supervises the student executive board employees of the Campus Activities Board

    • Regularly assesses their learning and performance through yearly evaluations and assessments.

  • Plans and coordinates the yearly CAB calendar up to a year in advance.

  • With the Director of Student Engagement, oversee the Campus Activities Board budget and purchases.

20 % of Time:  Programming

  • Plan and implement large-scale student events, including Welcome Week, Haunted Happenings, Gullibration, Post Center Take Over, Endicott Speaks Leadership Series, and other events as directed by student trends and needs.

  • Coordinate and Implement “Stress Less, Smile More” events at the end of each semester.

  • Working with the Associate Director to ensure programming consistently occurs on high-risk weekends

  • Routinely assess and evaluate student programming to ensure it meets learning objectives and interests.

30 % of Time:  Clubs and Organizations

  • Oversee daily student organization processes, event registration, finances, space reservations, risk management, and purchases.

  • Continually check in and invigorate clubs into active participation. Regularly attend club events and reach out to and meet club Advisors and students in clubs and organizations to assist in operational and interpersonal issues that may arise. 

  • Plan and Implement Club Involvement Fairs in the fall and spring semesters for students to engage with and join Endicott Student Organizations.

  • Create and maintain a “Club Council” where club boards can meet, be informed of, and collaborate with other clubs and organizations on campus.

  • Create a leadership training series (in-person and online) for clubs and organizations and their advisors, intentionally developing board members and their advisors' understanding of club policies and best practices in club and organization operations and advisement.

  • Based on students' trends and needs, create and implement a full calendar of in-house leadership training for club officers to attend.

  • With the Director of Student Engagement, Annually update and refine policy and procedures about Endicott Clubs and Organizations contained in both the Club & Organization Manual & the Advisor Manual

20 % of Time:  Leadership Development

  • With the Director of Student Engagement, oversee the planning, implementation, and facilitation of the Endicott Leadership Program, a cornerstone leadership program for all students at Endicott College

  • Working alongside FYE, Leadership LLC, Academic Scholars, and other stakeholders to increase student buy-in and outreach of the program and offerings.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a leadership retreat for ELP students that is in line with the tenets of the program.

  • Based on needs and trends in leadership development, create and develop monthly in-house leadership workshops and seminars for Endicott students.

10 % of Time:  Administrative

  • Create and distribute the weekly “Blue Buzz” events e-newsletter and monthly “Club Corner” newsletters to clubs and organizations. Distribute “Blue Buzz Long Weekend Edition” during long weekends.

  • Contribute to various college-wide initiatives and committees as needed or directed.

  • With the Director of Student Engagement, routinely assess CAB & student programming to ensure it meets learning objectives and student interests.

  • Manage OSE social media accounts in collaboration with the Student Engagement team

  • Monitor the office email account to ensure timely responses to student concerns

  • Participate in a variety of college-wide events including Focus Days, Accepted Students Day, Homecoming, Giving Day, Commencement, and Admissions Open Houses, etc. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals of the College and the Department
