The Assistant Director (SP) will assist the SP Division in driving PA's strategic planning efforts. This includes developing and reviewing PA's strategic thrusts, as well as identifying opportunities for synergies with other Government agencies. The Assistant Director (SP) will also be responsible for aligning PA Divisions to PA's strategic thrusts and tracking progress towards achieving them.[What you will be working on]
Contribute to SP’s efforts in the following:
Strategic Resource Management:
- Develop and review PA’s strategic thrusts:
- Resource management for mid to long term planning (manpower and budget/fund)
- Adoption of Programme Evaluation (PE) methodologies
Strategic Planning:
- Develop long-term directions and strategies:
- Identify emerging external landscape trends and assess their implications for PA
- Track progress of achieving PA’s strategic priorities and identify gaps to be addressed
- Conduct analysis and data mining
- Provide strategic content for annual Community Seminar and Workplan Seminar to communicate key objectives for community leaders and PA Staff respectively
- Develop and review strategies to build PA’s internal capabilities
- Co-develop, coordinate and prepare board papers and management reports
- Plan and coordinate reviews, seminars and workshops to align management and staff
Strategic Implementation:
- Steer PA towards strategic innovation and transformation:
- Coordinate and drive PA’s contribution to Public Service Transformation efforts
- Review of PA’s Strategic Touchpoints
- Coordinate the transformation of Residents' Networks through asset-based community development approaches to grow micro-communities
- Coordinate and facilitate Last Mile Workforce Transformation
Staffing and Coordination:
- Provide secretariat support for PA Board and senior management platforms
- Coordinate and prepare submissions to external agencies
- Facilitate cross-divisional tasks/projects and initiatives
- Plan and monitor Division’s budget

- Cover duties of DD (SP) in his / her absence
- Perform other duties as and when assigned by senior officers
