The ADON plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department while ensuring the delivery of exceptional, resident-centered care. The Assistant Director of Nursing assists with staffing, employee education, admissions, quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI), infection prevention, clinical audits, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with the interdisciplinary team, the ADON helps ensure residents receive safe, high-quality care while supporting staff through coaching, education, and problem-solving. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the ADON assumes delegated leadership responsibilities to ensure continuity of nursing operations and maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or post-acute care setting.
Previous leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience preferred.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care, including CMS guidelines.
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and meet all pre-employment requirements.
