Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Nursing in leading and developing a team of nursing professionals
- Oversee daily nursing operations, staffing, and scheduling to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance
- Ensure high-quality resident care through comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Support quality improvement initiatives, including survey readiness and plans of correction
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to promote engagement and performance excellence
- Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations
- Partner with leadership and education teams to support training and staff development
Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the State of Michigan
- Strong background in electronic charting software technology and Microsoft office suite
- Comfortable with being on call
- CPR certification required
- Knowledge of long-term care practices, regulations, and standards
- Previous experience in long-term care or with geriatric populations preferred
- At least 1 year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Skills Required
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduate of an approved RN program
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in this state
- Current CPR certification
- Training and/or experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
- Knowledge of nursing/medical practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care, or related healthcare facility
- Previous experience working in long-term care or with geriatric population
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry a minimum of 25 pounds and perform frequent physical activities
