We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our long-term care neighborhoods and help lead our clinical team with vision, heart, and excellence. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing and act on their behalf when needed

  • Serve as a Mentor and Coach, leading by example to build and maintain a resilient, dedicated care team

  • Ensure the highest quality of care through direct assessments, team development, and evidence-based practices

  • Champion a culture of continuous learning by providing ongoing education to nursing team members

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

  • Be a visible leader—present on the floor and available to residents, families, and clinicians

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Nurse in good standing in the state of operation, long-term care experience preferred.
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • 1 – 3 years experience as an RN
  • 1 – 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • 1 year of experience in educating and/or training adult learners.
  • Expertise in PPS, MDS, OBRA and OSHA requirements preferred.
  • Must be knowledgeable of state and federal laws and regulations for skilled nursing facility operation in the State of operation. 
  • Administrative experience preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competence in relevant technology.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
