The Assistant Director of Finance walks the line with taking pride and staying curious as they ensure the day-to-day operations of the finance department run smoothly while being radical transparent with their team and the operation. They supervise the accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashier and night audit team members plus assists the Director of Finance with training, developing and empowering the team to make thoughtful decisions for the business operation.



Requested Tasks

  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries and support timely financial close across assigned properties
  • Conduct monthly financial statement reviews in partnership with the Area Director of Finance
  • Assist in preparation of financial and operational reporting
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking to drive informed business decisions
  • Partner with operational and finance teams to improve processes, performance, and efficiency
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requested Capabilities

  • 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality
  • Luxury, Lifestyle, Boutique hotel experience, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls.
  • Experience leading or supporting multiple locations or complex business units preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
  • Experience with hotel systems such as Opera, Micros, BirchStreet, or similar platforms.
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
