Job Summary:
Cultivates and solicits private financial support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and by special programs.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains a charitable giving program for the Athletics Department. Assists the Director of Development in establishing annual and long-range goals and objectives for generating private financial resources inclusive of individuals, foundations, corporations, and other support.
- Prepares and implements funding raising solicitation materials, prospect lists, and reports as appropriate.
- Coordinates efforts of fund-raising volunteers as necessary.
- Acknowledges receipt of gifts from donors and implements appropriate stewardship programs.
- Makes direct calls to prospective contributors as necessary and appropriate.
Education:
Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
Experience:
Requires a minimum 2 years of experience fund raising or equivalent experience. Experience in higher education is preferred.
