As the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications and Marketing you will:


  • Write and edit news releases and feature stories
  • Assist with the daily maintenance of the College’s athletic website
  • Serve as liaison between the department and the media as the primary contact for several of Allegheny’s athletic programs
  • Write, design and edit publications including media guides and game programs
  • Manage the athletic communications student staff
  • Direct the program for nomination and publicity of student-athletes for various honors, awards and special recognition.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Recreation

Experience and Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years required preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite of Products, and Front Rush Recruiting Software
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Evening, holiday and weekend hours along with flexible work scheduling are required. 
  • Experience in the collegiate sports information field. Must be able to meet multiple deadlines with high-quality results. Candidate should understand the Division III philosophy and thrive in an extremely motivated, team-oriented atmosphere. 

YOUR COMPENSATION 

Starting salary will be competitive, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Expected starting salary: $16.00 - full time, non-exempt
