Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to join our Men’s and Women’s Outerwear design team. This role will play a critical part in supporting the creation and development of a competitive apparel product line that balances relevant commercial appeal with brand-right emotional fashion. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong technical skills, organizational ability, and a passion for the apparel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all aspects of design packages including sketching, tech packs, and maintaining line sheets.
  • Prepare and maintain tech packs from initial development through production.
  • Submit and approve artwork/strike-offs, yarns, lab dips, and related materials.
  • Organize and maintain design development including artwork, trims, fabric worksheets, finalized tech packs, and line lists.
  • Communicate and collaborate with overseas factories to ensure timely and accurate development.
  • Manage and adhere to the Time and Action Calendar to meet seasonal deadlines.
  • Support seasonal development by preparing presentation materials and assisting in design reviews.
  • Assist in sourcing and organizing seasonal inspiration, fabric, and trim libraries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in apparel design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop CS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, fabric, and trim sourcing.

The pay range for this position is: $55,000 – $65,000 per year (based on a 40-hour work week).
